TONNARA DI BONAGIA

Having been transformed into a hotel, little is left of the ancient structure. In the centre there is the Church, while the imposing fifteenth century tower dominates the courtyard which is rich in tourists and shops. In ancient times, the high apartments of the Rais looked out over the courtyard, as did the crews’ lodgings - to the left of the entrance - and the lodgings of farmers from the baglio (rural fortified structure) on the other side.
