CHIESA DI SANT'ANTONIO ABATE

  • Church of Sant’Antonio Abate
  • Church of Sant’Antonio Abate
Church of Sant’Antonio Abate

The small church, built in the XVI century as a chapel connected to Mount di pietà, but renovated in the XVII century as indicate the doorway and the three gelosie, characteristic windows with a balustrade with curved balusters. The interior with a single nave and a long presbytery, is decorated with delicate stuccoes and two-tone frescoes in liberty style.  The painting of Sant’Antonio Abate (1604), attributed to Mariano Smiriglio, on the main altar and the eighteenth century wooden Crocefisso - Crucifix on the second left altar are of interest.
