PALAZZO DELLA VICARIA

It is an austere building with four floors of late 16th century style and 19th century restructuring. It is the only element of relief on the compact barrier wall that has four telamons made of stuccoed tuff. An internal courtyard of trapezoidal form is the only light source for the ground floor. The building, used as a prison until 1960, was built from scratch in 1830 in the area occupied in ancient times by a complex of houses belonging to the Society of Jesus which were already used previously as cells.
